Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies |
Ingredients |
1 cup butter or margarine |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1 egg |
1/4 cup water |
1 t vanilla extract |
1 1/2 cup cake flour |
1/2 t baking soda |
1/2 t cinnamon |
1/4 t nutmeg |
3 cups quick cooking oats* |
1 pack chocolate chips |
Procedure |
Cream butter, add sugar, add egg, beat well. |
Add water and vanilla, add flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and soda, mix well. |
Stir in oats and chips. |
Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto cookie sheet, bake at 350°F 180°C 10 - 12 minutes |
* 1 cup coconut may be substituted for 1 cup oats if preferred. |
