Chicken Tikka |
An Indian favorite. Serve with long grain white rice |
Ingredients |
1 Lb chicken breast, boneless and cubed |
1 T ginger, crushed |
3 cloves garlic, crushed |
1 t coriander, toasted and crushed |
2 t chili powder |
1 t turmeric |
1 t salt |
1 C plain yogurt |
1 t curry powder |
1 t garam masala |
3 T lemon juice |
1 T olive oil |
˝ t corn starch |
Food Color, 8 drops Red 2 drops yellow* |
Procedure |
Mix together all of the ingredients excluding the corn starch. |
Cube chicken breasts and place in marinate for 4+ hours, over night is best. |
Heat grill to hot and grill the chicken on skewers. |
While grilling, add corn starch to the remaining marinade in a small sauté pan, heat until thickened. |
Return grilled chicken to the marinate and serve over rice. |
