Daylilies

Hemerocallis x 'Stella de Oro'

This carefree perennial fits into almost any garden. Spot into perennial borders as individuals or small clusters. Mass into a sea of color that functions much like ground cover. You can arrange them in a row against foundations as a mini hedge. With its strap-leafed form and flowers on long wand-like stems, Daylily offers dramatic relief between dwarf shrubs.

Feed: Feed the plant as soon as new growth emerges in early spring, using a general-purpose slow-release fertilizer. Repeat the process in midsummer.

Prune: For a neat appearance, remove old foliage before new leaves emerge. Divide clumps every 2 to 3 years in early spring.
